Reviews of my Pokemon TCG Coaching services from current and former clients.

"I started working with Luke in the summer of 2020. Up to that point I played casually and competed in a few local events, but wasn't at the level of a competitive player. At the start, he taught me the strategic fundamentals of the game and how to apply them outside of our sessions. As my play steadily improved, he helped me fine-tune my decision-making and identify new ways to get better.
His coaching style made it easy for me to pick up concepts I had struggled with in the past. Any time I have questions, he's able to answer them in a concise and accessible way. I walk away from each session feeling like I've learned something I can apply to my future games. In a year of coaching with Luke, I went from a casual competitive player to making top 256 in North America for Players Cup IV, as well as several top cuts and Phase 2 finishes at large online events.
I'm becoming the player I always wanted to be, and I wouldn't be where I am now without Luke's excellent coaching. I really can't recommend him enough."

"Luke Morsa is the Pokémon trainer's trainer! His expertise with the game is amazing and learning from him is so much fun. He is professional and structured in everything he does yet he treats you like a friend with patience and understanding. You will learn tips, strategies, game mechanics and deck building. I really enjoyed tournament preparation and getting a tournament deck that worked for my playstyle and ability level. Was exciting to win a few tough matches and go 5-5 in my first ever tourney!
With his deep knowledge, almost up-to-the-minute insight on game updates, and online presence, Luke is a top choice as a Pokémon coach!

"Luke is a great coach for many reasons. One, he is great at communicating and is great at listening. Two, his knowledge of the game and the meta is extensive. Three, Luke is great at analyzing game play and small miss plays that can be the difference between winning and losing. Four, honesty! Put all that together he is the perfect option to coach players at any skill level. He has helped me to get to a position to make phase 2 on 2/3 players cups I participated in. In addition to making cuts in many limitless tournament and winning several local tournaments. 10/10 highly recommended."

"Luke helped me get ready for POG 2022. He was a great help in those days before POG and his help had a big part in me getting to day 2. He helped me to solidify my deck choice, helped me become more confident with certain match ups, and helped to make sure that my sequencing was correct. Getting the help I needed from Luke allowed me to go into POG knowing that I was ready to face any deck that I may see. A+ coaching. I highly recommend him for your coaching needs. "

"I have worked with Luke off and on for over a year now. In that time he has helped me improve my fundamental skills like sequencing, prize mapping, and deck building, while also helping me learn how to navigate tricky board states and the small decisions that determine wins and losses. I can say without a doubt that thanks to Luke I am a far better player than I was a year ago. Whether you’re just now getting into competitive play and want to improve the basics, or you’re looking to improve some more advanced skills to move to the next level, I would recommend Luke’s coaching."

"I’ve been wanting to make the jump from being a good player to a competitive player for some time and with the possibility that tournaments may come back soon, I decided it was time to improve my game. I asked Luke to coach me and have not regretted asking. Luke immediately puts you at ease, respects your level of game and has the patience to bring you into a thinking process that is beyond what I have learned in the past. Luke is incredibly organized and available: we meet on a weekly basis and plan things out to know what to work on for the next training session. My training session with Luke is my highlight of the week. We go through deck building, optimizing for events, game play scenarios, play testing and understanding the meta and how it evolves. Luke is the reason I managed to quickly get a spot for the Team Challenge Season 3 and I’m convinced he will play an important role to guide me in future competitive events. You want to step up your game? Luke is the name."
